BUIT House
Binissalem
Binissalem, an inland town in Mallorca. We are facing a typical three-story house with the peculiarity that it is only 3.20 meters in width and 18 meters in length. The interior is completely dark due to its configuration. Casa BUIT was born from the necessity of "emptying" an inside that lacks natural light by providing life and spaciousness to the house. The interior is emptied by demolishing the intermediate floors and creating a triple space with a skylight on the roof that lights up the main floor. The staircase is white, metallic, light, and transparent. It is a sculptural element that dignifies the entrance of light, which is essential in this project.
